Farmers work tirelessly but earn little, struggling with rising costs and stagnant incomes. And we, the consumers, are left with fake organic labels and food we can’t trust.
From Research to Impact
Those were the exact thoughts of Tuvai's founder Dr. Prerna Terway, a PhD in Agricultural Economics. Her years of research affirmed a few truths for her—85% of Indian smallholders were struggling, that chemical-heavy farming was depleting soil health, trapping farmers in debt, and reducing food quality while consumers paid higher prices for less nutritious food.
Realizing that research alone wasn’t enough, she founded Tuvai Nature—a movement to restore balance in farming, health, and sustainability.

At Tuvai Nature, we’re bringing farming back to its roots—literally. By mixing age-old wisdom with modern science, we’re creating a healthier, more sustainable food system. We work with tribal women farmers in Jharkhand through our innovative Haritshala initiative.
We believe that good food starts with healthy soil. In our Amrit Krishi model, approved by ICMR and National Institute of Nutrition, Hyderabad, we use natural products like cow dung and forest leaves. By working with nature instead of against it, we restore the land’s fertility, ensuring that every bite is rich in nutrients and free from harmful chemicals.
